Sarimah is a trailblazing leader in sustainability with over 30 years of transformative impact across the energy, mining, logistics, and real estate sectors. As Vice President of Sustainability & External Relations at Bumi Armada, she drives global ESG integration, aligning operations with the UN SDGs. Appointed as the first CEO of Yayasan Hijau by Malaysia’s Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water, Sarimah spearheaded nationwide green initiatives, igniting sustainability transformation at the national level. Her leadership at PETRONAS, Sime Darby, UEM Sunrise, and Vale has shaped both corporate and country-wide agendas—embedding ESG into strategy, policy, and culture. She has represented Malaysia on global platforms, led award-winning programmes, and influenced sustainability discourse across borders.
