Ramesh Pillai is Chairman of the Board of Governors of the International Institute of Enterprise Risk Practitioners (IERP) and Group Managing Director of Friday Concepts, a boutique consultancy specialising in ERM, BCM, and GRC. With over 40 years of risk management experience, he is widely recognised as a global pioneer in Enterprise Risk Management and ISO 31000 implementation. He was Malaysia’s first Chief Risk Officer and among the earliest CROs globally. His career includes serving as a board director of local and regional financial institutions, chairing board committees, and acting as nominee director for a regional central bank. A Fellow of ICAEW, MIA, and ICDM, he is also a Certified Risk Professional, adjunct professor, resource for the Qatar Investment Authority, and a published thought leader. He holds a degree in Economics with Accountancy from Loughborough University and is active internationally as a mentor, advisor, and speaker
