About Patrick Nathan

Patrick retired as a Colonel from the Singapore Armed Forces, having held senior research and intelligence, defence relations and policy positions. He worked at the Prime Minister’s Office for seven years and was instrumental in setting up the National Security Coordination Centre. He was its first Deputy Director for Strategic Policy Development. He subsequently launched and managed the Government’s Risk Assessment and Horizon Scanning programme.

In the private sector, Patrick was Director for Security and Emergency Planning and Vice President of Corporate Communications at a major public transport operator. He moved on to Deloitte’s Risk Advisory Service where he was a Senior Advisor in Risk Sensing, Enterprise Risk Management, Crisis Management, Crisis Communications, Business Continuity Management and Critical Infrastructure Protection.

Patrick was Chief Communications Officer and Chief Risk Officer with the Singapore Judiciary up till Oct 2024. He has an Honours degree in Political Science from NUS and a Masters degree in Strategic Studies from NTU.
