Muchtazar is a seasoned sustainability professional and has worked for several industrial enterprises since 2014.He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and a Master of Environmental Science from the University of Indonesia. On top of that, he received an SDG Pioneer award in 2019 from the United Nations Global Compact, being just the second Indonesian in the award’s history to receive the accolade.
In 2022, he earned an ESG Champion recognition from The Natural Resources Forum for his contribution to driving innovation, education and real change in implementing sustainability policies and strategies. Additionally, he has represented his country in various international forums, such as the UN Global Compact Leaders Week, United Nations Climate Change Conference, ASEAN-Australia Special Summit, One Young World, and the Asian Circular Economy Leadership Academy, as well as being rewarded with the title of Under 40 Sustainability Star 2023 by CorpStage at the ESG World Summit & GRIT Awards.
Currently, he is working as the Head of Sustainability at Nickel Industries Limited, an Australian public company emerging as a globally significant, low-cost nickel producer.
