Dr. Anthony Dass

Dr. Anthony Dass is a seasoned economist with over 35 years of experience spanning macroeconomic research, policy advisory, financial strategy, and academic instruction. Currently a Senior Economic Adviser and Executive Director at KSI Research Institute, he provides strategic insights on economic trends and policy development. He is an entrepreneur, ventured into manufacturing healthy snacks and wellness products.

He formerly served as Executive Director of the Malaysia Institute of Economic Research and Group Chief Economist at AmBank. His career includes leadership roles in investment banks, policy institutions, and public sector agencies.

Dr. Dass holds a PhD in Economics from Universiti Utara Malaysia, a Master’s in Economics and Finance from the University of Bristol, and a Bachelor’s in Economics from IIUM.

A published thought leader and frequent collaborator across sectors, he has advised government bodies including Malaysia’s Economic Action Council and international organizations such as the UNDP. He does speak at conferences.
