Promod Dass is the Deputy Group CEO of RAM Holdings (RAM) and CEO of RAM Solutions (a wholly owned subsidiary of RAM). He is part of RAM Group’s leadership team that is focused on Sustainability Services and Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) analytics. Formerly the CEO of RAM Sustainability Services Sdn Bhd and Deputy CEO of RAM Rating Services Berhad (RAM Ratings), Promod has about 29 years experience in the financial services starting his career with Malaysian International Merchant Bankers Berhad in 1995.
Later from 2000, he served 18 years at RAM Ratings, mainly as a bank credit rating analyst. In 2003, he was sent by RAM to Sri Lanka to set up a domestic credit rating operation. In May 2016, he pioneered RAM Group’s involvement in the United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment’s (PRI) Statement on ESG in Credit Ratings. Promod was previously a member of PRI’s Advisory Committee on Credit Ratings. He has contributed to many international, regional, and domestic thought leadership forums and working groups including the Malaysia’s Joint Committee on Climate Change (JC3).
Promod holds a BSc (Honours) in Accounting and Financial Analysis from the University of
Warwick, UK.
